37797 A Network Studio and Office Building.
Within this building are dozens of studios, large and small, from which radio programs go out to all parts of the country.  This is the Hollywood studio of a large radio network.
No windows are possible in radio studios because street noises would come in through them; so a complete air-conditioning system supplies fresh air.  The windows you see are for the offices, where the programs are written and the business of the network is done.
More than 1,300 people work here, each of whom has his part in putting the program on the air so that you can hear it over your radio.  There are actors, musicians, singers, producers, writers, announcers, script girls, typists, stenographers, publicity men, sound effects men, engineers, maintenance men, carpenters, pages and guards.  Later some of these people will be seen at work.
